The economic development, as well as technological in Mexico, has had in the last years has been noticed due to the Bajio Alliance constituted by the governments of Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosi, Guanajuato, Queretaro, and Jalisco, since they have shown important progress on its projection to generate a regional sustained growth.
Today with the integration of the State of Jalisco to this alliance it is intended to be the area that contributes the most to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Country.
Therefore a meeting between economic representatives and of planning from such entities took place with the objective of creating work strategies to fulfill them in such entities with the objective of creating work strategies to fulfill them in the upcoming years, as also they propose the role each state will perform in this new planning.
Aguascalientes was chosen to be in charge of achieving the highest competitiveness in Latin America, since it sustains good economic development indicators, investment, employment, among others; therefore it will share its best practices and knowledge regarding industrial, academic and governance matters that have to make the entity having a notorious growth, this aiming the Bajio competing with complete nations.
Regarding San Luis Potosi, it has stood out for its dynamic industrial activity, being one of its main competitive advantages, this is how the State of SLP will have the responsibility of assuring the energetic availability to guarantee continuous productivity. This way, it will perform a regional study to learn about the inventory, skills, and projects in energy masters of the area, in addition to encouraging and promoting the creation of alternative energies in the region, such as solar, wind power, hydric, among others.
In the last two months, Aguascalientes and San Luis Potosi have had the arrival of big international companies on their territories, such is the case of Continental in Aguascalientes and BMW in San Luis Potosi, and this will be a big trigger for the economic and technological development that will benefit the entire area of Centro-Bajio-West.
