Representatives of companies from the five continents will participate in the 45 Tianguis Turística México 2020, in Mérida, Yucatán, in March, said the secretary of the sector, Miguel Torruco Marqués.
The official announced this morning at a press conference that in Mérida ‘we will have the participation of buyers from five continents, wholesale operators, travel agents, tourism associations, incentive houses and professional event organizers’.
He said that the businesses that are generated in the Tianguis are based on pre-established 15-minute appointments between buyers and exhibitors, coordinated with highly specialized software, specially developed for this event.
Torruco Marqués reported the above after the World Tourism and Health organizations said the world is going through difficult times through COVID-19.
However, he said, the epidemic has not been able to curb the growing interest of operators in one of the most important fairs in the world.
Mexico is among the countries with the greatest tourism and expects to exceed 50 million annual visitors, in addition to working in facilities, infrastructure and offers to substantially improve tourist revenue.
