
The CEO of LATAM Airlines Mexico, Diana Olivares, was elected as the new president of the National Chamber of Air Transport (Canaero) for the 2022-2023 term.
Olivares will replace Luis Noriega Benet, Air Canada’s current CEO for Mexico, Central America and Cuba, who has been at the head of Canaero since 2020.
The appointment of the new president of Canaero took place at the facilities of the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA), in a hybrid format
Subsequently, during the 2022 Ordinary General Assembly, the organization’s income budget for 2022 was approved.
The new members of Canaero’s board of directors were also appointed, including personnel from Avianca, Delta, Lufthansa, Air Canada, Copa Airlines, as well as Aeroméxico and Aeromar.
The latter two airlines are confirmed to start operations at AIFA along with Volaris and Viva Aerobus.
