MEXICO NOW<\/a><\/p>\n

The Irish capital company with the highest investment in Mexico and which has operations in Baja California, Smurfit Kappa, informed the Government of Baja California, that it will invest US$34 million , for the expansion in this entity of its corrugated cardboard packaging operations.<\/p>\n

In the work meeting were the ambassador of Mexico in Ireland, Miguel Malfav\u00f3n Andrade; the minister of Economic Development, Carlo Bonfante Olache; the company’s financial director, Ken Bowles; the director of Taxation Keneth Byrne; the feneral counsel of the Group, Brian Marshall; and the legal counsel for North America, \u00c1lvaro Monta\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

The expansion scheduled in two stages, will consist of a production plant with processes that are not in Baja California and that are added to the diversity of folding cardboard, folding or cartonboard, known in English as “folding carton”.<\/p>\n

During a meeting, the company made mention to the support of the State Government and expressed that as part of its strategic training program, an international delegation of young people is located in Ireland, 3 of them from the Smurfit plant in Tijuana.
