The company also donated school equipment for 68 schools in the state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During a working tour of the municipality of C\u00e1rdenas, in the state of Tabasco, the Pemex CEO stated that these donations are part of the Environmental and Community Support Program (acronym in Spanish PACMA) established by Petr\u00f3leos Mexicanos. The first investment made was 52.4 million pesos (mdp). \u201cWith these donations, Tabasco is getting back some of the wealth it has created for the country, and the construction of the refinery in Dos Bocas, economic growth in the state will\u00a0 be boosted,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Romero Oropeza symbolically made the donation of furniture for 307 classrooms. The investment in education was of 13.9 million pesos. Mobile Medical Units will also offer consultations in various oil producing municipalities of Tabasco, with an initial investment of 38.5 million pesos. He stated that the company reaffirms its social commitment towards the communities where it carries out its operations and will continue to provide its support to the population of Tabasco.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the other hand, he pointed out that the company considers Tabasco a state that will play an important role in its strategy to increase crude oil production, as the majority of the new fields Pemex is developing this year are located in the coast\u00a0and shorelines of the region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In matters of public safety, healthcare and education, he stated that since last December, the company has completed 122 projects, which total an investment of 421 million pesos. Currently, Petr\u00f3leos Mexicanos is in\u00a0development of\u00a041 social responsibility projects, and over the next few months, 50 additional projects will be launched\u00a0which will be aimed at improving the environmental conditions of the communities surrounding the areas of Pemex\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The event was attended by the Governor of the State, Ad\u00e1n Augusto L\u00f3pez Hern\u00e1ndez; Armando Beltr\u00e1n Tenorio, the municipal president of C\u00e1rdenas, Tabasco, as well as by the state officials: Jos\u00e9 Antonio de la Vega Asmitia, Secretary for Energy Development; Guillermo Narv\u00e1ez Osorio, Secretary for Education; and Carlos Manuel Merino Campos, State Delegate for Development Programs in the State of Tabasco. Pemex representatives present at the event were the Corporate Director of Management and Services, Marcos M.
