Jorge Labastida\u2019s practice focuses on structured and asset-backed financing, including project finance, real estate financing, securitizations, private asset monetization, structured leasing and multi-jurisdictional tax-advantaged financing, as well as financial factoring, supply-chain finance and standby LCs. He also has extensive experience in representing trustees and common representatives of bondholders, and attends to matters related to derivatives, treasury products, and restructurings. In addition, Jorge has considerable experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to joining SOLCARGO, Mr. Labastida Martinez served as a Partner in the Banking and Finance practice groups of prestigious international law firms, was a founding Partner of Bufete Labastida, and was a Partner in the Banking and Finance practice of a domestic firm in Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the law firm continues its consolidation with the appointment of Cecilia Curiel Pi\u00f1a as partner in the Energy area and Carlos del Razo Ochoa as a partner in the Environmental Law practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cecilia Curiel Pi\u00f1a has over thirteen years of experience which is specifically focused on the planning, negotiation and implementation of various corporate strategies for the development of projects in the energy sector, mainly related to the generation of electricity from renewable and conventional sources, as well as the transportation and distribution, commercialization of hydrocarbons and natural gas where, due to her many years of experience, she has become one of the most recognized experts in the Energy, Oil and Gas sectors in Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, she is a professor in the Specialty of Energy Law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM for its acronym in spanish). She has earned recognition as one of the few women to be named a partner in law firms with an energy practice in Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carlos del Razo Ochoa has more than eleven years of experience in the management of infrastructure projects and environmentally regulated industries, providing advice on obtaining and complying with permits and authorizations, developing environmental audits, as well as attending to and carrying out environmental inspection procedures. Likewise, he assists our administrative litigation team in the design and execution of litigation strategies, related to environmental and energy regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. del Razo Ochoa is a member of the board of directors of the AMIA (Mexican Academy of Environmental Impact).
