Ally-shoring is a term that loosely means rethinking critical supply chains and working with other nearby democratic countries to create economic partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cINDEX created a shelter committee at the national level, which is where all of us shelter companies are coming together to sell Mexico,\u201d Rubin said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the webinar, officials from each shelter company will discuss topics such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Mexico competitive advantages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 What is ally-shoring?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Shelter model, the easiest way to start your business.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Is it possible to set up during the pandemic?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Supply chain business opportunities for North American companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Main cost drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mexico in February regained its position as the&nbsp;No. 1&nbsp;U.S. trading partner, followed by Canada and China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn Mexico, you can manufacture anything you want,\u201d Rubin said. \u201cI have one of the largest customers that does Starbucks furniture. Almost every Starbucks you go to from Texas to the West Coast, that\u2019s probably my customer that\u2019s made that furniture.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rubin said other major manufacturing industries in Mexico include automotive vehicles and parts, aerospace supplies, medical equipment, electronics, and even sporting equipment, such as locker room supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou name it, we\u2019ll probably find someone that makes something for that industry,\u201d Rubin said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Noi Mahoney.
