Two and a half months after the world debut of the all-new 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV during a special event in Detroit, General Motors has just announced the arrival of the electric crossover in Mexico. Chevrolet is expecting the 2022 Bolt EUV to hit the Mexican market in the second half of this year, shortly after its introduction in the U.S. market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mexico will become the third country to receive the all-new Chevy Bolt EUV, closely following the United States and Canada where it will be available this summer. In February, GM also announced that it plans to introduce the new electric crossover in Middle East countries before the end of the 2021 and in Colombia next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are excited to announce that the Chevrolet Bolt EUV will arrive in Mexico, a vehicle that combines the extraordinary dynamic handling characteristics of GM electric vehicles with the interior dimensions and comfort of a compact SUV,\u201d said Marketing Manager for Chevrolet at GM Mexico, Yammil Guaida, in a statement. \u201cWith the Bolt EUV, we will offer those considering an electric vehicle the best option regarding space, design and technology with zero emissions,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the GM BEV2 platform debuted by the Bolt EV, the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV is GM\u2019s first global all-electric crossover, and the first model in GM\u2019s ambitious plan to launch 30 new EVs worldwide by 2025. Its design combines the versatility of a crossover with the brand\u2019s dynamic design cues, reinforcing its sales potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chevy Bolt EUV features a single electric motor that generates 200 horsepower (150 kW) and 266 pound-feet of torque, providing strong performance. The motor is fed by a 65 kWh battery pack that gives the crossover an estimated driving range of 250 miles or 402 kilometers, meaning it only needs to be recharged as often as a gasoline car needs to refuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV will be available throughout the Bow Tie brand\u2019s dealership network in Mexico during the second half of the year, the company\u2019s executives pointed out. All details on trim levels, features, exact on-sale date and pricing will be released closer to its official launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
